Subject: Using LDS canneries
I began a new thread below called; purchasing/packaging. I wanted let all of you know my answers about using the LDS (mormon) canneries, but I should have titled the thread as I did here , so you would recognize the thread. Either you didn't recognize it or your not interested because noone has responded. Anyway, look down there if you want to know :)

Lynn,
Your post was apreciated and read, at least by me. But you posed no questions so I asumed it was an FYI post.

Subject: question
Yep, your right Art, I did not post a question, but someone else did, concerning the subject. And then I got a personal email asking me some questions. The question was about use of the LDS canneries for those who are not members of our church. My post in the thread below "purchasing/packaging" is my reply to them. Confused? I am sorry, I just wanted to let everyone know. And I apologize for using 2 threads to get that information out. It is important to some here. I was making sure it was found.

Some orthodox RLDS (LDS & RLDS split in 1844) run a cannery in Independenc, MO that offers food for 1/2 to 1/15 of the prices I'm seeing in most prepardeness catalogues. Don't worry about being a non-member--cash and carry, no questions asked. Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX. [Number removed by the request of the party.] I don't know if they'll mail though (might be walk in business only). It's worth a phone call to find out.

I telephoned the number and they asked that the number be removed.

I spoke with them today and they are upset about the # being on the net. They are not public, but will help local families who are like minded. Please remove the number so that we do not offend these people who have offered to help.
