Subject: Wet Goods - How Long Do They Keep?
I have the following in my kitchen: - honey - olive oil (extra virgin) - corn oil - lemon juiceHow long before these go bad? How can I tell thatthey've gone bad? (Are there obvious indicators?)I've tried storing the olive oil in my fridge, butit solidifies in there. I presume that you can 'freeze'oil and it'll be ok when it is thawed out... fred

Hi,
Their life varies a LOT!
- honey Known to be over 4,000 years if it is pure (It solidifies, just warm it up to melt it.) Ask any Egyption tomb robber :>
Oil in other threads 1-3 years unopened. - olive oil (extra virgin) Warm it up and it melts to. No problem just looks bad. - corn oil
- lemon juice Personally opened bottles up to 4 months (12 weeks on bottle) in the fridge, let your nose tell you if it is still good.

Honey is good indefinatly to the best of my knowledge. If it crystalizes you can heat and liquify it
